   Solo Exhibition

 Continuum

    1-23 May 2026

   Sarah Wiseman Gallery

      Oxford

This exhibition celebrates 20 years of working with the Sarah Wiseman gallery in Oxford. It has been wonderful working with Sarah Wiseman and I am delighted to be showing new still-life paintings with her this May.

There is a printed catalogue available from the gallery and the works can also be seen online. I have also added them to the available paintings page here.

A contemporary painting perspective. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to view the work of leading figurative artists, both contemporary and historic. The exhibited works reflect the artists's personal ideas and processes to explore visual appearances. For an artist, translating what is seen onto a flat surface is complex and these artists observe and work directly from their subject, to question the elusive and beautiful appearances of the visible world, searching for "evidence".

The works provide new dialogues between important historic lions and contemporary responses and are exhibited here for the first time. The historic artists include co-founders of the Euston Rd School (1937-39): Claude Rogers, Graham Bell, Victor Pasmore and Sir William Coldstream and their students and associates, Patrick George, Myles Murphy, Christopher Pemberton, Howard Brown, Patrick Symons and Euan Uglow.

It is a real privilege to be part of this exhibition showing work alongside artists who I respect and admire, artists who have profoundly influenced my way of thinking and painting.
